stella. is a New York City born, raised, and based singer/songwriter. Drawing influence from songwriters such as: Leonard Cohen, Brandi Carlile, Paolo Nutini, Adrianne Lenker, and Noah Kahan, stella. writes music that explores themes of/wrestles with questions about life, love, heartbreak, and repair.

After releasing his first EP ‘Amalfi’ in 2018 and follow-up single ‘Still Choose You’ in 2019, stella. unexpectedly found himself in the midst of life events which forced him to turn inward and focus on rebuilding his connection to music, life, and ultimately himself.

Five years later, stella. found his way back with the release of his second EP ‘A Study in Balance’ and its follow-up single ‘Friendly Reminder’ (2024), signaling a hard-fought return to form.

With his third EP, ‘This is just a Placeholder, I Promise,’ slated for release before the end of 2025, stella. is setting the stage before sharing his first full-length LP in the new year.

stella. also writes, records, and performs a blend of far more cheeky and upbeat funk and pop music under the name Francis Aud and writes, produces, and performs ridiculously catchy & fun children's music as part of the musical duo Matt & Dan.
